Michael Donohoe

Michael has over 25 years of experience working with healthy, troubled and distressed companies as outside counsel, general counsel, “C” level executive, turnaround consultant, and private equity investor. He practiced law in private firms in the areas of commercial finance and corporate bankruptcy from 1987 through 1999. From 1999 to 2005, combining extensive commercial bankruptcy experience with executive experience in distressed corporations, Michael was engaged by a series of public and private companies in various roles, including Chief Restructuring Officer. From early 2005 until 2010, he was a Principal in a private equity manager focused on lower and middle market investments in distressed situations. He managed several portfolio investments as Board chairman or member. Michael graduated from Stanford University in 1984 with a B.S. in Applied Earth Sciences and earned his law degree from the University of Chicago in 1987.

David Maggio

Dave has over 28 years of corporate finance, advisory, financial restructuring, “C” level leadership and operational turnaround experience for healthy, underperforming, troubled or distressed companies. He has a demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate strategies for maintaining or increasing stakeholder value, executing asset divestiture and M&A strategies, formulating capital and financing structures, securing debt and equity financings, and negotiating debt restructurings. His career includes 15 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Managing Director in the Global Corporate Finance Practice and led investment banking practice units in Houston and San Jose, CA. His subsequent positions include CFO/CAO at an internet commerce site, Founder/Managing Director of regional corporate finance and financial advisory firms, Interim CEO of a software company and a Senior Director at a national restructuring and turnaround advisory firm. Dave graduated from Louisiana State University in 1981 with a B. S. in Accounting and is a CPA.

Ed O’Donnell

Ed has over 30 years of management experience in improving business processes and the reliability and timeliness of financial information in highly competitive environments, while serving as the Regional Controller, Controller and Chief Financial Officer of public and private companies in the financial services, software technology, consulting, private equity, banking, retail and restaurant services segments. Prior to joining CornerPost, Ed spent five years with Tatum LLC, a financial consulting firm, six years with Altius Capital, an investment banking firm, and five years as senior financial executive for software and technology companies. His most recent assignments included CFO of a large wind power generation company, controller of a $1 billion construction materials company, and controller of a distressed $250 million conglomerate. In addition to being CFO of CornerPost, Ed is CFO of our first portfolio company, CPS Operations, LLC. He is a CPA, with an accounting degree from Winona State University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.

Nathan Kinney

Nathan is the newest member of the CornerPost team, performing analytical functions for our portfolio companies and new opportunities. His experience includes due diligence and underwriting, analytics, research, modeling and forecasting across various industries. Before joining the CornerPost team he spent a year at URS Corporation working on the engineering, procurement, and construction of Industrial/Process plants. His experience there primarily includes the design engineering and procurement of a liquid extraction facility, deethanizer tower addition, and turbo-expander addition; all constructed to improve extraction efficiency of hydrocarbons from natural gas liquids. As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer he was responsible for the design and implementation of all equipment and control systems required for successful plant operation. This work required financial and technical bid analysis on equipment packages from various vendors, weighing in on cost, quality of equipment, and the competence of respective engineering firms. Nate graduated from the University of Colorado in 2012 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is a certified EIT.
